ALPACA SURI
Suri is the least predominant type of Alpaca. It has a long silky shiny grain. Its wool is produced in a smaller variety of natural tones: white, beige and light brown. The suri’s build has a distinctive appearance due to its long curly hair. About 10% of the Alpacas population in Peru are Suri.

HUACAYA – SURI
There are two types of Alpaca Huacaya and Suri, which differ from each other both in their appearance and in the characteristics of their fiber.
ALPACA HUACAYA
The Huancaya is the predominant type of Alpaca. Its fine and voluminous fiber offers the widest variety of natural tones. Huancayas have a harmonious texture giving the appearance of strength and grace. About 90% of the Alpacas population in Peru are Huancayas.
